Account & Data Deletion

Delete while signed in

1. Open Sona Account and sign in.
2. Open the account data controls and choose Delete account.
3. Review the warning and enter the requested confirmation.
4. Confirm deletion. Active sessions will be revoked and the deletion cannot be undone.

Request deletion without signing in

If you cannot access your account, email [email protected] with the subject Sona account deletion request. Send the request from the email associated with the account where possible.

Include only the minimum information needed to locate the account, such as the account email or the last few digits of a linked phone number. Do not send your password, chat history, full payment-card details, passport, or other identity documents unless we provide a secure method and specifically request them.

We may ask for reasonable verification to prevent unauthorized deletion. We aim to complete verified manual requests within 30 days, subject to applicable law.

What is deleted

• Account and profile information.
• Conversation threads, messages, and Sona-held memories.
• Character names, avatar preferences, voice preferences, language settings, and custom character settings.
• Linked messaging information and notification preferences.
• Sona-held credits, entitlements, and device associations.

Limited information that may remain

We may retain limited non-content records when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, transaction integrity, legal compliance, accounting, dispute resolution, or enforcement. A non-personal deletion marker may remain to prevent a deleted session from becoming active again. Protected backups may retain residual data temporarily until the normal backup cycle replaces them.

Where service providers process data for Sona, we will request deletion or apply their deletion controls where required and reasonably available.

Subscriptions and refunds

Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by an app store. Cancel the subscription through the Apple or Google account used to purchase it before deleting Sona. Account deletion does not itself create a refund. See Billing & Refunds.

Device-only use

If you used Sona without creating or linking an account, contact us from the device where possible and provide the support identifier shown in Sona. We will explain the available deletion process without asking you to send conversation content.
